Synergy Equestrian Team is a member team of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association, aka IEA. IEA allows riders in grades 4 - 12 to compete without the need to own their own horse in hunt seat, western, and dressage disciplines. Synergy Equestrian proudly operates a hunt seat team for riders throughout Northeast Ohio.
Our team is open to riders of all levels. However, riders must have at least 6 months of continuous professional instruction to be eligible for IEA competitions.
IEA offers sequential levels for accommodate riders of different skills. Riders can compete from walk/trot to 2' over fences, with an additional option of 2'6" over fences class for advanced high school riders.
Because riders compete on unfamiliar horses, riders are placed into their lowest eligible division based on requirements set by IEA. For example, a rider that is jumping courses of 2'3" -2'6" at rated competitions and jumping the same height or higher at home would likely compete in the cross-rail division in IEA competitions.
Competitions are held throughout the fall and winter with post season competitions happening throughout winter and spring. Riders can participate in 5 regular season shows. Typically the team will attend 2 competitions per month, occurring over a single weekend, from September - January with post-season competitions beginning February.
Practices are offered throughout the entire year and during the season riders a required to participate in one practice and one regular lesson per week.
Membership for the 2025-2026 season will open soon! Stay informed by requesting more information on our team. Current Synergy riders can discuss with their trainer if IEA is good fit for them. Looking for an IEA team? Fill out the form below to get more information.
