Summer Camps at Synergy Equestrian

Synergy Equestrian is excited to offer several summer camps for children ages 7 & up. Those attending will enjoy focused riding sessions each day in addition to expanding their equine knowledge and horsemanship. We ask that new riders to Synergy take an evaluation lesson prior to camp or submit a brief outline from their current trainer so that skill level can be assessed. 

An overview of the schedule is included below. Each day will start at 9am and end at 2pm; the time of each session may shift slightly to accommodate the riding section at an appropriate time based on weather conditions and other happenings around the farm. 

9am Start

Riders will begin each day with stretching and warm-up on foot to improve coordination and strength in the saddle. We will also discuss goals for the day and review previous days learnings. 

9:30 Learning Activity 1 (Anatomy of a Horse)

Our morning learning activity focuses on equine anatomy so students develop a better understanding of how horses move and how our riding affects their movements.

10am Riding Session

Tacking, riding lesson, and untacking/cooling out of horses.

Noon Lunch

12:30 Learning Activity 2 (Barn Care)

Our afternoon learning activity focuses on equine care. Riders will learn about the daily upkeep that horses require and the responsibilities of horse/stable management. 

1pm Fun Activity/Game

Time for kids to unwind and enjoy an activity.

1:30 Wrap-up for the day

This will include any clean-up needed from early activities, helping feed horses and additional time for games, etc until riders are picked up.
